My work is a study in urban and suburban landscapes and beyond, venturing into dreamscapes. Through my art, I explore natural imagery (the suburbs of New Jersey where I grew up) and the man made infrastructure of NYC, as well as places from my travels. I work primarily with collage and acrylic paint to create mixed media artworks. I layer paint on top of cut-out magazine images that I collect, to create a new image that is based on photographs I take daily on my iPhone.
I received a Master's in Art Education from Pratt Institute and my Bachelor's degree in Art & Art History from Dickinson College, with a focus on painting. Currently I teach art to PreK-5th graders at PS 199 in Midwood, Brooklyn.
